About this App

DriveMate LockOn is an specialized version of the iPhone app "DriveMate SafetyCam" to work with the device DX500(DriveMate Connect DX500), which is to be connected to the car OBD2 interface and then send the car data (e.g. speed, fuel efficiency, water temperature, etc.) to iPhone or iPod touch by wireless network in real time.
It will support the driver with a safe and eco-friendly driving.

※DX500 is not available for shipping outside the Japan.
For other countries, if you want to make full use of this app, please purchase the "DriveMate SafetyCam" from the app store.

Main Functions

【Before DX500 Connection】
Only demo mode and the function to measure distance from the car ahead are available.

【After DX500 Conncetion, following full functions are available】
◆ Approach Warning to the Car Ahead
・Analyzing images taken by iPhones camera, the app can recognize car in images and it can calculate the distance between the camera and the car ahead in real time. When the car ahead is detected as appoaching quickly, the app will notify you with making a warning sound to reduce forward collision.

◆ Departure Notification of the Car Ahead
・While you are stopping with a car ahead, the app will watching it instead of you, and notify you the departure of the car ahead.

◆ Driving Safety Evaluation
・Using speed and acceleration data while driving, the app evaluate your safe and eco friendly driving level in point of heavy braking, urgent acceleration and deceleration, abrupt steering, and detected vehicular distance. The evaluation score and app points added every day can be shared and ranked among other users. Your driving history of route, speed , sudden operation and vehicular distance can also be checked with the map in the report which helps you cultivate a good driving habit.

◆Compatible models:
iPhone 5s/5c/5/4S/4 and iPod touch with iOS 5.0 or later
* With the device of iPhone 3GS, the car detection rate is lower than the other supported devices.

[Notes]
・ Do not watch the iPhone when you are driving.
・ It is prohibited to operate the application and iPhone while driving.
・ Some cars with special shape,color may not be detected by this app.
・ Car recognition rate will decrease dramatically at night and backlight condition.
・ No movie is recorded by this app.
・ Because the car detection and the computed vehicular distance are not guaranteed to be correct completely, this app is not supposed to and can not decide your driving safety for you. For a safe driving, do decide your driving operation by yourself.
・ Fix your iPhone securely in a place where it does not interfere with operation of airbags or driving.
・ Because the application makes full use of iPhone functions such as GPS, video, audio and camera, the iPhone battery will be consumed rapidly. The power-save mode or the background light of iPhone adjusted to a little darker is recommended.
・ The application will be closed automatically when the iPhone device is with high temperature.
